Bob Sworski, AIA/NCARB, was the Project Manager and Architect for design of a new 2,750‑sq.‑ft. general aviation terminal. Facility included passenger arrival/departure lobby, pilots lounge, vending area, and manager’s office and conference/meeting areas. It also incorporated security, fuel monitoring, and weather station electronics packages. Sustainable design elements include locally milled hardwoods for casework and trim, locally quarried stone facade’s and flooring materials, steel roofing, aluminum window framing composed of recycled aluminum, geothermal heating / cooling, high efficiency lighting throughout the building, and low VOC paints, among others. Estimated project cost was $635,800; total cost: $585,000. (2009)
